How you'll make an impact The Director of Sales and Business Development is responsible for driving new business growth and servicing existing accounts. This role involves developing and executing strategic sales plans, cultivating relationships with prospects and clients, and managing the sales pipeline to achieve revenue targets. The position also requires a deep understanding of self-insured and fully insured environments, including the evaluation of quotes, rates, stop-loss insurance, and contribution strategy analysis to deliver tailored solutions to clients. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement an annual business development and sales plan. Set and achieve sales and revenue targets. Oversee budgets for business development and sales activities. Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing prospects and clients. Identify and develop relationships with new prospects. Understand and address key business issues at the prospect level. Manage the sales pipeline and maintain a customer relationship management (CRM) system. Evaluate quotes, rates, and stop-loss insurance options to provide clients with optimal solutions. Conduct contribution strategy analysis to align insurance offerings with client needs and financial goals. Provide expertise in self-insured and fully insured environments to guide clients in selecting the best risk management strategies. This role does require 50% travel within the state of Arizona About You Required: Bachelor's degree, 1 year related experience, and appropriate insurance licensing required OR Bachelor's degree, participation in Gallagher's Sales Internship Program (GSIP), and appropriate insurance licensing required OR High School Diploma/GED and 6 years experience. Preferred: Professional designation may be preferred, including CEBS, CPCU, CIC or ARM. Behaviors: Act independently with minimal direction. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Desired: Senior-level business development and sales experience in a B2B, professional services setting. Established professional network in one or more of Gallagher’s primary service areas (insurance pool administration, self-insurance consulting/administration, and outsourced risk management programs). Strong strategic and tactical skills in business development and sales. Exceptional project planning and management skills. Self-motivated with a proven ability to meet goals. Expertise in self-insured and fully insured environments, including evaluation of quotes, rates, stop-loss insurance, and contribution strategy analysis. Work Traits: Positive, upbeat attitude with professional persistence and resourcefulness. Strong analytical skills for data analysis and executive-level reporting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Skilled in preparing and delivering sales presentations. Highly developed interpersonal skills and comfort with relationship-building at industry events. Willingness to travel in-state and out-of-state as needed.
