With Keri’s retirement, we are looking for an exceptional leader to step into this pivotal role—a Director of Sales & Business Development who will drive our next phase of expansion across Canada. Where we specialize in providing tailored heritage solutions for effortless customization of quality wood windows, doors, storm windows, storefronts, mouldings, and turnings.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

✔ Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
✔ 5+ years of sales leadership & business development experience, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or high-end custom products.
✔ A keen interest in heritage buildings.
✔ Proven track record of sales growth and strategic market expansion.
✔ Strong negotiation, consultative sales, and relationship-building skills.
✔ Excellent public speaking & professional representation skills.
✔ Experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint (CRM & Projects Module), and QuickBooks Online (preferred).
✔ Exceptional time management, decision-making, and leadership skills.
✔ Valid driver’s license & access to a reliable vehicle.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Director of Sales & Business Development, you will be a key member of our leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing a strategic sales vision to support our continued growth. This is not just a sales role—it is a high-level leadership position focused on expanding our market reach, developing new product lines, and forging key business partnerships.
We are seeking an individual with a proven track record in business development and sales leadership, capable of cultivating relationships with residential and commercial clients, retail chains, developers, and industry decision-makers. You will play a critical role in identifying new revenue opportunities, building a scalable sales structure, and positioning Vintage Woodworks for national expansion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development & Growth

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships and product line expansions.
  • Build relationships with retail chains, developers, architects, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Lead national expansion initiatives, ensuring Vintage Woodworks increases its market presence across Canada.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to refine sales strategies.

Sales Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to increase revenue and market share.
  • Lead and mentor the sales team, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and customer focus.
  • Drive consistent sales growth, ensuring targets and KPIs are met.
  • Oversee pricing strategies, sales forecasting, and profitability analysis.

Client Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Proactively prospect, develop, and manage a pipeline of residential, commercial, and retail clients.
  • Conduct site visits, prepare detailed quotes, and negotiate contracts to secure long-term business.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring top-tier customer service and ongoing support.

Operational Excellence

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and timely product delivery.
  • Utilize Joinery Management System (UK-based software) to track quotes, orders, and client interactions.
  • Maintain detailed sales reports, CRM data, and performance analytics.
  • Represent Vintage Woodworks at industry events, conferences, and trade shows as a key spokesperson.
