Position: Director of Sales & Customer Success Reporting to:  CEO Location: Greenville, SC – In Office   Job Overview: We’re hiring a Director of Sales & Customer Success to partner directly with the CEO and leadership team to help design, lead, and scale our entire relationship organization. This is a leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys building systems, developing people, and creating structures within a growing company. You’ll lead initiatives across sales, customer success, support, and BDR strategy while helping bring clarity, accountability, and process to a fast-moving services business.   This role is ideal for a driven, relationship-focused leader who communicates exceptionally well, builds trust naturally, and thrives in an environment where adaptability and initiative matter. At Steep, you’ll join a growing company where the work is dynamic, meaningful, and rewarding — and where your leadership will have a direct impact on the future of the organization.   What you’ll do: * Develop and optimize scalable sales and retention processes * Drive growth primarily through existing customer relationships and resale opportunities * Collaborating with Marketing on inbound and outbound growth initiatives * Improve adoption and effectiveness of Marketing Strategy Planning (MSP) programs Team Management & Organizational Development * Lead the Relationship Team, including Success Coaches, Account Managers, and BDRs * Define team responsibilities, workflows, and accountability structures * Ensure smooth collaboration between sales, support, and outreach functions * Recommend organizational improvements as the company grows * Support high-value client relationships and escalation management * Work closely with the CEO to leverage leadership expertise in training and strategic relationships Performance Metrics & Operational Excellence * Measure retention, resale performance, and MSP adoption * Define KPIs across sales, support, and business development teams * Improve forecasting accuracy and visibility   Experience you’ll bring: * 3+ years of leadership experience with a proven ability to build and scale high-performing teams in B2B, marketing, or consultative service environments * Strong operational and process-driven mindset * Skilled relationship builder and communicator who can simplify complex ideas, align teams, build trust with clients, partners, and leadership * Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, founder-led organization while partnering closely with executive leadership * High-integrity, low-ego achiever who leads with empathy, accountability, ownership, and a result-driven mentality   Bonus Points: * Experience building or refining sales and customer success processes within a growing or scaling organization   Work Environment * In-office * Fast-paced, collaborative, and deadline-driven   Compensation & Benefits * Salary range: $95,000 - $120,000 per year (based on experience) * Eligibility for monthly and annual performance bonuses * Competitive, comprehensive benefits package including: * Medical, dental, and vision insurance * Retirement plan * 3 weeks PTO plus company holidays   About Steep Marketing Steep is a marketing company that works with financial advisors to fill their lead-generation events through high-performing digital advertising and direct mail.
