We are looking for a Director of Sales and Marketing to join our team at the Crowne Plaza Canberra. The Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for leading and developing the sales, marketing, and revenue management resources to deliver a commercial success for our owners and IHG. The position reports to the hotel General Manager and works closely with the IHG portfolio and support center teams to deliver on our goals accross events, sales and revenue. A taste of your day-to-day Manage key relationships with leaders, third parties, and IHG regional teams to align strategic direction and foster collaboration. Responsibilities include Foster a high-performance cross-functional culture by driving collaboration across revenue, marketing and operations teams. Drive a great working environment for teams to thrive – connect departments to create sense of one team Utilise data-driven insights to optimise pricing strategies, market positioning and revenue growth. Develop innovative guest engagement strategies to drive repeat business with a focus on personalised experiences across transient segments. Lead and execute the long-term commercial strategy of the hotel ensuring alignment with brand standards and owner expectations. Collaborate with IHG’s global and regional teams to align strategies with brand objectives. What we need from you Proven experience in a senior Hotel sales & marketing leadership role. Strong commercial acumen with a track record of achieving revenue targets. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a dynamic team. Expertise in digital marketing, branding, and strategic partnerships. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
