REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience: 10 years of proven success leading a sales team within Consumer-Packaged Goods industry and recent ownership of a top national retailer.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field; MBA a plus
  • Results-Driven: Consistently demonstrates high level of initiative and accountability for their business.
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop and influence comprehensive business strategies.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with ability to inspire and manage cross-functional teams.
  • P&L Management: Robust financial acumen and data-driven decision making.
  • Customer Management: Build relationships, inspire, influence and align. Negotiate when necessary.
  • Presentation Skills: Effectively communicate to various stakeholders to enroll support.
Responsibilities

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & OUTCOMES:

  • Deliver the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) with operational excellence, measured by growth of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop multi-level customer relationships to strengthen category-leading growth plans, selling incremental distribution, merchandising and winning sales programs.
  • Partner with cross-functional team (Marketing, Sales, Category and Product Teams) to build strategic long-term business plans rooted in consumer and shopping habits while maximizing our ever-expanding portfolio.
  • Enroll our vast bottling network, building confidence in our Dollar General plans, improving execution and fueling investment for growth.

ROLE SCOPE:

  • Lead and develop a high-performance team of direct and in-direct team members.
  • Present and inspire a clear, executable and measurable plan with our stakeholders (Dollar General, Internal Leadership, and Bottling Network).
  • Track and adjust plans as needed to ensure we deliver the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), while building for the future.
  • Build the capabilities of the team around you with continuous process improvement.
