Position Overview
As the Gordon Food Service supplier of fresh cut vegetables and fruit, we are looking for a Director of Sales to lead our business in Ontario. The Director of Sales role requires exceptional management of sales performance among sales staff. This position is responsible for coaching, mentoring and developing the talent of their sales associates to achieve planned growth within their district.
Position: Full Time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday, in office.
Location: Milton, ON
Travel: Primarily within province, but as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the performance and development of the sales & marketing team
  • Effectively lead and facilitate meetings that educate, motivate and produce results
  • Lead and direct customer engagement efforts; upsell expanded service options
  • Fully leverage the management of sales planning, prospecting and daily customer engagement
  • Directly manage and engage critical customers; support meeting and exceeding customer expectations
  • Deliver programs or processes where necessary that supports staff achieving performance metrics
  • Lead, coach, mentor and develop others based on the GFS Cornerstone Values and Principles
  • Achieve planned growth and sustain strong customer relations

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Sales leadership experience of 5+ years
  • Sales experience in the food, beverage, or produce industry
  • Be able to make decisions with speed, conviction & precision
  • Have a solid understanding of relevant KPI’s and how they impact future decision making
  • Be able to divide focus on short, medium and long term perspectives and strategies
  • Demonstrate a servant leadership style
  • A valid driver’s license, vehicle and ability to travel as required.
