Description Job Summary: The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for driving the company’s revenue growth by leading the sales organization and overseeing all marketing initiatives in partnership with an external marketing agency. This role combines strategic planning, team leadership, and data-driven execution to expand market presence, optimize lead generation, and strengthen customer relationships. Supervisory Responsibilities · None. Duties & Responsibilities: · Works towards ensuring consistent achievement of sales goals. · Establishes and monitors key performance metrics for sales pipeline, conversion rates, and customer retention. · Works closely with the CEO and CTO to align sales strategy with service capabilities, pricing models, and technical offerings. · Oversees proposal creation, quoting, and solution estimating for complex opportunities. · Manages CRM systems and ensures accurate tracking of leads, opportunities, and customer engagement. · Drives continuous improvement in sales process, documentation, and customer experience. · Serve as the primary liaison with the external marketing agency managing: o Website design, optimization, and content updates. o SEO strategy and keyword performance tracking. o Email marketing and nurture campaigns. o Social media management, engagement, and brand consistency. o Marketing analytics and performance reporting. · Reviews and approve marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with company goals, tone, and compliance. · Evaluates marketing ROI, recommends adjustments, and ensures campaigns translate into qualified sales opportunities. · Develops and executes annual sales and marketing plans, budgets, and forecasts. · Identifies new markets, partnerships, and service expansion opportunities. · Leverages data, analytics, and CRM insights to drive performance-based decision-making. · Manages the relationship with the external marketing and/or sales support vendors. · Ensures deliverables meet quality standards, project deadlines, and contractual expectations. · Is responsible for closing new customer deals and major proposals, including preparation, presentation, and negotiation. · Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Time Commitments & On-Call Expectations: · Full-Time Role – Regular business hours with flexibility as required by project or incident response needs. Required Skills & Abilities: · Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, lead generation funnels, and sales operations. · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage shifting priorities. · Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in complex situations. · Ability to manage and collaborate with external marketing agencies or vendors. · Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. · Excellent documentation, communication, and time-management skills. · Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. · Comfortable working cross-functionally with technical and executive teams. · Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation platforms. · Understanding of MSP/IT industry trends, customer needs, and competitive differentiators. Education & Experience: · Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field, Master’s degree preferred. · 7+ years of progressive experience in sales, marketing, or business development, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity. · Proven experience tracking opportunities using activities and efficient sales-to-close follow-up systems is needed.. Physical Requirements: · Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. · Occasionally, equipment may need to be lifted or moved up to 25 lbs.
