QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Confidence in pitching to senior-level decision-makers and tailoring messages to suit various audiences.
  • Strong understanding of the corporate philanthropic landscape or interest in learning.
  • Experience with CRM systems, sales funnels, or donor databases is an asset.

The KYO, an established and respected charity, is seeking a Director of Sales (Corporate Fundraising) to join our board of directors and leadership team. This role is ideal for someone with strong B2B sales, sponsorship, or fundraising experience who wants to gain executive leadership exposure while giving back.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead Functional Area: Direct and oversee all grant funding and partnership initiatives, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and strategic objectives.
  • Develop & Secure Funding: Identify, apply for, and manage grants from government agencies, foundations, and corporate sponsors while fostering relationships with funding partners.
  • Collaborate with Leadership: Work closely with the board of directors, executive leadership, and program staff to ensure grant initiatives support the organization’s overall growth and sustainability.
  • Mentor & Guide: Provide leadership and support to staff and volunteers involved in grant writing, fundraising, and partnership development.
  • Innovate & Implement: Develop and refine grant-seeking strategies, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and maximizing financial support for music education and cultural enrichment programs.
