MACOM sells and distributes products globally via a sales channel comprised of a direct field sales force, authorized sales representatives, and leading industry distributors. Our sales team is trained across all of our products to give our customers insights into our entire portfolio.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for promoting MACOM’s full product portfolio in Western North America while growing annual sales within an assigned geographic territory (Rocky Mtns). This role focuses on identifying and prioritizing new business opportunities, with particular emphasis on radar and pulsed-RF power markets and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive revenue growth.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field (Master’s in Engineering or Business preferred).
  • 15+ years of experience with RF/microwave components, circuits, or system-level design.
  • Proven experience engaging directly with customers, sales representatives, and channel partners, with a strong understanding of the business ecosystem.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills across internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, engineering teams, partners, and customers.
  • Demonstrated ownership, initiative, and enthusiasm in advancing MACOM’s mission.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Advanced Excel skills are required, with data visualization experience desired.

JOB TITLE/ROLES:

Primary Role and Job Title: Director of Sales, Rocky Mountain Territory (CO, UT, MT, WY)
Secondary Role: Business Development Mgr, Radar Applications covering the Western Region west of the Mississippi River

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify, prioritize, and engage customers to develop new business opportunities.
  • Promote and sell MACOM’s full product line in the assigned territory to achieve annual sales targets.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product marketing, sales teams, and channel partners to support strategic customer engagements and application requirements.
  • Coordinate with Regional Sales Managers on major and strategic accounts to meet corporate objectives.
  • Gather technical and business requirements from customers and deliver market intelligence to product teams, supporting new product development initiatives.
  • Prepare and distribute customer visit reports to management and other internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity pipelines and quarterly forecasts within the CRM system.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with channel partners and representatives to drive growth initiatives.
  • Support Sales Operations with channel strategies, contracts, pricing agreements, and major quote approvals.
