Description

We are seeking a dedicated Director of Sales & Marketing, with a proven track record of achieving great results, to join our growing company. Someone who can perform as a strategic business leader for the Sales and Marketing Departments and is responsible for property reactive sales, proactive account sales and segment sales, local and social catering sales, business travel sales, reservation sales and destination sales, if applicable.

  • The position shares responsibility for achieving revenue goals, guest and employee satisfaction and the financial performance of the department.
  • Implements the brand’s service strategy and applicable brand initiatives in all aspects of the sales process.
  • Leads the sales function to build long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of properties’ sales objectives.
  • Evaluates the participation of properties in the various sales channels (e.g., Market Sales, , electronic lead channels, etc.) and develops strong working relationships to maximize each property’s benefits.
  • Proactively positions and markets the property.
  • Manages the marketing budget to enable development of property specific campaigns, promotions and collateral to drive revenue and meet property objectives.
  • Develops and implements strategy that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brand’s target customer profile and provides a return on investment to the owners and the company.
  • Coaches and guides the Sales team to achieve and exceed set targets.
  • Sets individual sales targets for the sales and marketing team members.
  • Tracks sales goals on a daily basis, conducts weekly sales meetings to track the progress of the department.
  • Manages the annual performance of the Sales and Marketing team as per the Company’s Performance Management Cycle.
  • Plans the marketing calendar for the year along with the Marketing lead.
  • Coordinates with marketing on lead generation from different sources, brainstorms to come up with creative, out of the box ideas to drive the business forward.
  • Develops a strong team through motivation, counselling, and product knowledge and market education.
  • Oversees all other related activities of the sales and marketing team.
