Description

Midwest Commercial Interiors is hiring a Director of Sales to lead a smart, motivated team and help shape the next chapter of our growth. This is a newly restructured role with the opportunity to bring fresh perspective, energy, and innovation to a team serving some of the most inspiring organizations and spaces across the Mountain West.
We’re not necessarily looking for someone from the furniture world—we want someone who knows how to sell complex solutions, build relationships, and lead a team with confidence and clarity. If you’ve worked in design, construction, tech, architecture, manufacturing, or high-stakes B2B sales, this could be a great fit.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing sales team to exceed targets
  • Own strategy and execution for RFPs/RFQs, proposals, and client presentations
  • Represent Midwest in client meetings and discovery sessions
  • Collaborate across Design, Operations, and Management
  • Bring innovation to how we work—including using AI in proposals, sales workflows, and presentations
  • Generate new leads and nurture strong client relationships across sectors

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in professional sales, preferably in a complex or consultative environment
  • Experience managing or leading a sales team
  • Strong business development, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Great communicator—comfortable presenting to both internal teams and executive-level clients
  • Experience in (or understanding of) industries like design, construction, architecture, tech, SaaS, or manufacturing is a bonus
  • A BS in Business, Communications, or a related field is preferred, but not required
  • A curious, strategic thinker who’s open to learning and collaborating with a diverse, experienced team
