REQUIREMENTS

  • 10 years’ experience in category management or insights-related field
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field (preferred)
  • 20-30% travel will be necessary for headquarters and retailer/company meetings
  • Experience in natural food and beverage industry (preferred)
  • Available to work flexible schedules, including holidays

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Director of Sales – Natural will lead the planning and execution of successful sales strategies for accounts with significant annual sales revenues, strategically key customers or markets, broad or national geographic scope, etc. Establish short- and long-term account or retail strategies. Lead selling efforts, margin management, and customer relationship management activities. Lead the cross-functional business processes, engaging cross-functional resources across multiple geographies to deliver against the annual volume and profit plan. Demonstrate complete understanding of the company’s products, product lines, and/or services; existing customers and potential customer landscape; the sales cycle; and industry trends.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong presentation skills with ability to simplify large amounts of data into simple selling stories
  • Organization; ability to effectively prioritize
  • Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Critical thinking and analysis
  • Leadership; able to acquire, manage, lead and mentor a team
  • Knowledge of and experience with space planning programs – JDA Space Planning, Apollo
  • Experience working directly with retailers and syndicated data systems (Nielsen, IRI, SPINs)
  • Expert at Microsoft programs – PowerPoint, Excel, Word
