Role Overview We are seeking a Director of Software & AI Operations to lead Commit International’s software and AI portfolio across North America and international markets. This role owns the end-to-end success of Commit’s Software and AI P&Ls, ensuring seamless collaboration between Sales/Client Partners, Delivery, and Clients. You will act as both a strategic leader and technical authority, driving presales, delivery, process improvement, and go-to-market initiatives for AI and product-oriented offerings. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring technical depth, customer-facing credibility, and operational excellence to position Commit as a trusted partner—not just an offshore delivery arm. Key Responsibilities Presales & Solutioning Serve as the lead SME for product-build and AI projects during early prospect conversations. Conduct discovery and scoping sessions, build cost models, and validate with delivery P&L leaders. Draft Statements of Work (SoWs) and proposals; ensure margin consistency across engagements. Prepare and involve technical SMEs (AI/Software architects, data engineers, product leaders) for client-facing discussions. Act as the delivery lead for product-oriented Assessments and PoCs, producing clear deliverables (reports, presentations, roadmaps). Delivery Management Lead internal and client-facing kickoff sessions, ensuring alignment on goals, scope, and success metrics. Oversee execution of AI/software projects from inception to delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Partner with Client Partners (CPs) and PMs to resolve delivery challenges, manage risk, and reduce client anxiety. Champion delivery excellence by fostering communication, solution-oriented problem solving, and consistent client experiences. Process & Growth Define and standardize costing, pricing, and margin frameworks for software and AI projects. Implement scalable processes across presales, delivery, and client success (tools, templates, workflows, dashboards). Partner with AWS and other Commit P&Ls to identify cross-sell opportunities and expand Commit’s footprint. Shape and propose a product-first go-to-market strategy, creating differentiated offerings for the Software/AI portfolio. Requirements Qualifications 10+ years in software engineering, AI/ML solutions, or product development, with leadership across delivery and presales. Strong technical background (cloud-native architectures, AI/ML frameworks, data engineering, modern software practices). Proven success owning P&Ls or leading large-scale delivery in consulting or technology services. Track record in presales, solution design, and customer-facing delivery leadership. Deep familiarity with AWS ecosystem and partner programs; AWS certifications preferred. Ability to define processes, set pricing/margins, and build scalable delivery frameworks. Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and business stakeholders. Experience leading international teams and operating in a fast-paced, high-growth services environment.
