POSITION: DIRECTOR OF SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary technology leader to oversee software engineering, quality assurance, data engineering, and the integration of enterprise SaaS platforms. This role will be responsible for shaping technical strategy, building high-performing teams, and delivering secure, scalable solutions in a regulated technology environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record in managing technology teams in a regulated or fintech-related environment.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale SaaS integrations and third-party platform adoption.
• Background with modern data warehouse and analytics platforms (e.g., cloud-based solutions).
• Experience building web and mobile applications using contemporary frameworks and databases.
• Strong knowledge of QA practices, automation tools, cloud-native architectures, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with platform-as-a-service (PaaS) development environments.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Understanding of compliance, security, and risk management in regulated industries.

• Lead, mentor, and grow engineering, QA, and data-focused teams.
• Develop and implement a technology roadmap aligned with business and product goals.
• Manage the complete software development lifecycle to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance.
• Establish and maintain strong quality assurance practices, including automation and performance testing.
• Evaluate, select, and oversee integrations of third-party SaaS platforms (e.g., CRM systems, payment processors, compliance tools).
• Ensure seamless integration of SaaS solutions with internal systems and data pipelines, maintaining security and privacy standards.
• Oversee the evolution of data warehouse infrastructure and analytics platforms to support business intelligence and reporting.
• Implement effective data governance and integration strategies using modern technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define technical requirements and priorities.
• Promote engineering best practices, including code quality, agile methodologies, DevOps, and scalability.
• Lead solution architecture for software, data platforms, and integrations.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies, trends, and tools to guide strategic decision-making.
