YOUR ROLE AT SAFELYYOU

We are looking for a Fleet Engineering Director responsible for our Fleet management team. Our fleet team is responsible for the software our cameras and servers used by our computer Vision algorithms to detect falls and residents/caretakers’ activities. The fleet team develops the software to manage the entire lifecycle of our field equipment. In this role, you will own all aspects of our fleet management platform and our containerized embedded stack.
You will partner closely with our product management team and peers to define, design, and implement mission-critical solutions focused on system scalability and reliability. You may also mentor junior team members and lead your projects through the full development lifecycle.
As the most senior member in our Quebec presence, you will also act as the site lead for SafelyYou. You will be responsible for representing SafelyYou n Quebec. You will be helping with our overall R&D hiring in the area, helping organize locial events, and participating in partnerships.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build roadmaps for our Fleet solution, working closely with our operation team and product management
• Hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing team
• Drive improvements to the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of SafelyYou core embedded products with scale and reproducibility in mind: “cattle only, and no pets”.
• Mentor your team and provide support in architectural decisions, investigations, troubleshooting issues, and designing solutions
• Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment, while maintaining high standards of software quality
• Promote the adoption of agile best practices while being an ambassador of our company values
• Communicate passionately about the team, our mission, and technology
