About Asset Management (AM): Morgan Direct is a key component of our Asia Asset Management business, operating in Hong Kong and Taiwan. As a primary funds distribution channel, Morgan Direct leverages a robust platform to deliver end-to-end client servicing, portfolio management, fund order placement, and support for regular savings plans. Role Overview: As the Technology Leader for the Morgan Direct platform, you will provide visionary technical leadership and engineering expertise within an agile environment. You will partner closely with business stakeholders and product owners, building trusted relationships and ensuring technology solutions align with business objectives. You will lead and inspire technology teams across three locations (Hong Kong, Taiwan, and India), fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and high performance. Job Responsibilities: * Build and maintain trusted, consultative relationships with internal users, senior stakeholders, and product owners, acting as a bridge between business and technology. * Demonstrate strong consultative instincts—engage users with curiosity, uncover root causes, and distinguish between workflow gaps, training needs, and missing capabilities. * Translate user insights into actionable technology recommendations, whether leveraging existing solutions, advocating for roadmap enhancements, or proposing new initiatives. * Operate credibly and fluently with both senior business leaders and technical engineering teams. * Communicate complex technology concepts in clear business terms, highlighting value and impact. * Apply deep technical knowledge to architect scalable, robust solutions using industry-standard design principles. * Advise cross-functional teams on technology strategy, platform architecture, and best practices. * Drive the adoption of AI and emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities and user experience. * Champion diversity, inclusion, and respect within the team and broader organization. * Take full ownership of the technology team, ensuring alignment with global technology strategy while delivering business outcomes. * Lead, motivate, and develop teams across multiple locations, fostering a unified culture and continuous upskilling.   Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills: * Experience in managing teams which can design and managing scalable solutions on modern cloud platforms, especially AWS. * Hands-on experience integrating AI and machine learning technologies into software solutions is a strong advantage. * Demonstrated success leading agile teams (Scrum, Kanban) and delivering complex technology projects. * Advanced knowledge of software development concepts and technical processes across one or more domains (cloud, AI/ML, mobile, etc.). * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of innovative solutions to complex challenges. * Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior leaders. * Experience managing and motivating distributed teams, with a focus on continuous learning and development.   Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills: * Prior experience in the financial industry, with an understanding of regulatory requirements and industry-specific challenges. * Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and quality assurance. * Experience managing teams across multiple locations (Hong Kong, Taiwan, India), fostering a cohesive and high-performing culture. * Commitment to building a “one team” mindset, ensuring all team members feel valued and connected regardless of location. * We welcome candidates from diverse professional backgrounds, including those with client-facing business experience who have developed a strong orientation toward technology.
