Job Description
As Spa Director you will be responsible for managing all areas of the Spa, Spa Reception, Health Club and Fitness Center, including its services, hours of operation, facilities and team

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE:

  • Minimum of 4-6 years spa/ wellness experience; 3 years in a leadership role in a city center luxury hotel
  • The ability to understand financial information and data, and perform advanced arithmetic functions
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office programs including but not limited to excel, word, PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Book4Time is an asset
  • Current CPR certification is an asset
  • Must be enthusiastic, motivated, and a team player
  • Strong work ethic, highly responsible, reliable and the ability to work extended hours including evenings, public holidays and weekends is required
  • Proven leadership, team management, training and coaching skills with evidence of developing exceptionally motivated teams
  • Must have experience in budgeting and reporting such as forecasting and P&L
  • Must have outstanding experience delivering high-quality customer service.
  • Display good organizational, written, and verbal skills
  • Available to work late, weekends and holidays

  • Possess knowledge and experience with different types of massage, body and skincare, and retail products
  • You will establish and execute clear short- and long-term goals
  • You develop the strategic direction of the department, including marketing and social activities to promote the spa and wellness facilities
  • Develop and monitor financial strategies to increase revenues while controlling operating expenses, monitoring annual budget and forecasts, reviewing monthly financial statements, utilizing yield management strategies, implementing inventory management and purchasing procedures, as well as monitoring and adjusting staffing levels, spa service appointments, and operational expenses, to maximize spa profitability
  • Selects vendors for spa retail operations and managing contract agreements
  • Oversees retail product research, product selection and purchasing, product display
  • Creates and coordinates special services for groups including group gifting programs, group amenities, group turndown gifts, letters and invitations, creating special spa services for specific groups and spa contract addendum negotiation
  • Develops and Manages spa promotions including gifting programs, gift with purchase, co-op marketing efforts and holiday event
