The Opportunity The Director of Spiritual Life provides leadership for the spiritual life of the Beatitudes Campus community. This role nurtures an inclusive environment where residents, team members, and families can explore faith, spirituality, purpose, and connection. Honoring the Christian heritage of Beatitudes while welcoming individuals from all traditions and beliefs, the Director creates opportunities for worship, reflection, learning, service, and pastoral care that support the holistic well-being of the community. This leader helps cultivate a campus culture where spirituality is woven into daily life and where residents continue to grow, reflect, and find meaning as they age. What You Will Do Lead Spiritual Life on Campus Provide vision and leadership for a vibrant, inclusive spiritual life program. Develop worship services, seasonal celebrations, and spiritual gatherings. Create opportunities for reflection, fellowship, learning, and spiritual exploration. Oversee chaplain discretionary fund and team member food pantry Provide Spiritual Care Offer pastoral care and spiritual support to residents, families, and team members. Walk alongside individuals during times of transition, illness, grief, and end-of-life. Respond thoughtfully and compassionately to requests for spiritual care. Build an Inclusive Community Honor the United Church of Christ heritage of Beatitudes Campus while welcoming people of all spiritual traditions. Foster interfaith respect, dialogue, and collaboration. Build partnerships with clergy, congregations, and spiritual leaders in the wider community. Collaborate Across Campus Work closely with healthcare, life enrichment, and interdisciplinary teams to support holistic resident well-being. Support campus programs that nurture meaning, connection, and purpose in later life. Contribute to the culture and mission of Beatitudes Campus. Support Lifelong Growth Offer educational opportunities and conversations around spirituality, aging, purpose, and meaning. Encourage residents to continue exploring their spiritual lives throughout the aging journey. Requirements What You Bring Master of Divinity or equivalent theological degree. Ordination, endorsement, or commissioning from a recognized faith tradition. Experience in spiritual care, chaplaincy, congregational ministry, or community spiritual leadership. Comfort working with individuals of diverse faiths, beliefs, and life experiences. Strong pastoral presence, communication skills, and collaborative leadership style. Clinical Pastoral Education and experience working with older adults are strongly valued.
Responsibilities
