SUMMARY

We’re looking for a compassionate and driven leader like you to join our team as the Director of St. Joseph Shelter and Outreach! In this role, you will oversee and manage key CCA programs, including the Stella Maris Center, St. Joseph Shelter, and Assessment Services & Outreach. You will be responsible for project management, supervising the team, planning service delivery, and ensuring compliance with both organizational and funding mandates. As Director, you’ll lead the team in implementing client-centered, Housing First, and harm reduction strategies. JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in social service-related fields, with a focus on behavioral health services.
  • Strong understanding and practical application of Housing First and Harm Reduction theories.
  • Excellent problem-solving and de-escalation skills.
  • Ability to maintain personal boundaries and professionalism in all situations.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Project Management & Development:
  • Hire, supervise, and evaluate program staff to ensure the successful delivery of services.
  • Plan, implement, and monitor the delivery of client services in alignment with CCA’s mission and values.
  • Model and teach Housing First and harm reduction case management strategies.
  • Maintain compliance with funding mandates and data collection standards.
  • Monitor program outcomes and ensure accurate and timely data collection.
  • Oversee client record maintenance while adhering to confidentiality/privacy policies.
  • Facilitate staff development through training and professional growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with leadership in designing, planning, and implementing new programs and long-term goals.
  • Approve program expenditures and manage team schedules, including timesheet approval.
  • Address grievances and support staff conflict resolution when necessary.
  • Administrative:
  • Lead the team using the EOS process and hold them accountable for performance.
  • Oversee personnel actions such as disciplinary measures, new hires, and terminations.
  • Ensure facilities meet operational standards and prepare for inspections.
  • Provide guidance to the team to address challenges and improve program effectiveness.
  • Attend relevant training and maintain professional development.
