Position: Director of Strategic Projects and Initiatives
Position Number: H25-010
Status: Full-Time (Exempt)
Reports to: Senior Vice President of Research Partnerships
Location: Hybrid – Based in Indiana
What you’ll do:
The Director of Strategic Projects and Initiatives at ARI will be a strategic advisor and trusted confidant to the executive leadership, primarily supporting the Senior Vice President of Research Partnerships. This highly dynamic role requires an individual who can seamlessly navigate between high-level strategic planning and hands-on operational execution. The Director of Strategic Projects and Initiatives will enhance organizational effectiveness by streamlining processes, facilitating communication, and driving key initiatives, thereby enabling the executive to focus on the Institute’s overarching mission and external engagement.
Key Responsibilities:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM or Business (i.e., Business Administration, Public Policy, Science Administration, or a related field) (advanced degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in a strategic, operational, or consulting role, with significant exposure to senior leadership in a research, government, academic, or technology-focused organization.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing complex, cross-functional projects and initiatives.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a strong aptitude for data analysis and informed decision-making.
  • Superior written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and lead without direct authority, building consensus and driving results.High level of emotional intelligence, adaptability, and resilience in a dynamic and demanding environment.
  • Proficiency in project management software, collaboration tools, and advanced Microsoft Office Suite applications.
