Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Strategy and Growth to drive strategic growth initiatives, identify new business opportunities, and foster key partnerships that align with our company’s long-term goals. This leadership role requires a forward-thinking individual with exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills. This person will work with other company directors to expand market presence and revenue streams. They should have a proven track record of creating and implementing successful growth strategies to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for history and heritage, and a deep understanding of the cultural sector.
Key Responsibilities· Develop and implement business development strategies that align with our mission and target audience.
- Work with the CEO to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
- Work closely with our directors to ensure corporate growth across all business areas.
- Oversee the creation of engaging marketing campaigns to promote our programs, products, events, digital content, and brand initiatives.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (designers, writers, and media specialists) to ensure all assets are created and delivered on time.
- Recommend actionable strategies to optimize campaigns and improve ROI.
- Oversee research about current and upcoming funding opportunities and advise team members on appropriate grants for various projects.
- Manage the proposal and RFP life cycle.
- Manage the development and implementation of workshops, conferences, and outreach events.
- Oversee team members to manage the website and social media output ensuring consistent and impactful messaging.
Skills and Qualifications· Master of Business Administration and/or 5-10 years of experience in a strategic development role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable strategies.
- Excellent understanding of business dynamics, market trends, and competitive landscapes.
- Knowledge of the cultural sector, including museums, Indigenous rights issues, and the Canadian heritage landscape an asset.
Position Details• Hours: Full-time
- Compensation: Annual salary of $110,000 or dependent on experience, with paid vacation, paid sick leave, and health, dental, and EFAP benefits
- Travel required: Occasionally
- Location: Calgary or Ottawa office with hybrid remote option (two days in office)
