Description Summary The Director of Strategy, Innovation, and Digital Tools plays a specialized role in advancing the Evangelical Covenant Church’s planting efforts by translating vision into actionable strategies, building digital systems that support church planting, and fostering innovation that aligns with the mission and values of the Covenant. Working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external partners, the director ensures that key digital infrastructure aligns with ECC's long-term innovation goals and empowers church planting leaders across conferences. Essential Functions Strategy · Collaborate with the Church Planting Team to develop and implement a movemental plan for healthy church multiplication. · Help translate strategic direction into regional planning tools, goals, and metrics. · Provide analytical and organizational support to regional leaders and conference teams as they contextualize and execute planting strategies. · Track progress toward strategic goals and create systems to report outcomes to ECC leadership and partners. Innovation · Research, pilot, and refine technology, data, systems and tools for more effective church planting. · Host innovation labs and curate collaborative spaces where practitioners can share learnings and shape emerging best practices. · Ensure innovation efforts remain aligned with ECC theological identity and mission priorities. · Encourage awareness of emerging church planting trends and best practices. Digital Tools · Implement integrated digital tools and platforms (e.g., Church Planting Apps, Salesforce utilization, learning systems, data dashboards) to increase efficiency and effectiveness for Covenant Church Planting. · Ensure that tools developed support collaboration across regions, provide data for decision-making, and improve accessibility for planters and coaches. · Train team members and regional partners to effectively use systems for communication, tracking, and support. · Maintain digital resources and onboarding systems that serve planters and partners. The Director of Strategy, Innovation, and Digital Tools plays a specialized role in advancing the Evangelical Covenant Church’s planting efforts by translating vision into actionable strategies, building digital systems that support church planting, and fostering innovation that aligns with the mission and values of the Covenant. Working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external partners, the director ensures that key digital infrastructure aligns with ECC's long-term innovation g and empowers church planting leaders across conferences. Requirements Education and Experience Required: A minimum of five (5) years within the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC) and at least 8 years of ministry experience reflecting: church planting, local church and conference level activity. A minimum of 30 hours worked per week. Preferred: Master’s Level or Comparable. Ordained within the ECC or open to pursuing Ordination Skills Proven fruitfulness in church planting, missional vitality, creative, and catalytic ministry. Demonstrated ability utilizing digital platforms and tools to support and accelerate church planting activity. Works well under pressure and can accomplish multiple tasks, with conflicting priorities and timelines. Ability to operate with discretion and confidentiality at all times. Talks to others to convey information effectively and efficiently. Responds appropriately and adjusts actions in relation to others' actions. Creatively formulates reports, communication, and marketing material for audiences. Implementation and execution focus. Environmental Conditions Must be able to work in remote locations with corresponding applications and connections, in accordance with personnel policies. Occasional domestic travel (~50%). Must be versatile and able to work for prolonged segments sitting/standing and on a computer. Must engage frequently with office tools and equipment, such as: computer, copier, phone, printers, etc. Must be able to occasionally lift or move items, less than 35lbs.
