The Director of Studies is the academic leader of ILSC Dublin, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of teaching, curriculum delivery, and student experience. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on leadership of the academic team, driving innovation, quality, and compliance. The DoS plays a pivotal role in shaping the school’s academic direction while fostering a supportive environment for both staff and students.

QUALITY ASSURANCE & STUDENT EXPERIENCE

  • Monitor and respond to student and agent feedback, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Oversee placement testing, timetabling, assessments, examinations, and progression tracking to support student success.
  • Ensure accurate academic records and full compliance with INIS and school policies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • A recognised English language teaching qualification at diploma level (e.g. DELTA, DipTESOL) or equivalent – or working towards - preferred
  • Knowledge of accreditation and regulatory frameworks (e.g. ILEP, ACELS, or similar) is desirable.
  • At least 5 years’ recent and consecutive experience in English teaching.
  • Leadership and management experience in quality English language institutions.
  • Experienced in teacher recruitment, induction, observation, and professional development.
  • Proven ability to manage timetables, resources, and academic administration.
  • Experience handling compliance, accreditation, and quality assurance processes.
  • Strong track record in student support, assessment, and maintaining a high-quality learning experience.
