Develop and implement a detailed supply chain strategy that improves product expansion, international presence, and operational efficiency. Partner with Product Development, Publishing, Sales, and Finance to align supply chain capabilities with product launches, seasonal cycles, and business expansion goals. Anticipate market and supply obstacles in a fast-paced, high-demand setting and actively build solutions. Lead demand, supply, and inventory planning to balance forecast accuracy with flexibility for creative release schedules. Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to anticipate demand for new product launches, special editions, and promotional events. Implement planning tools and analytics that provide transparency and data-driven decision-making across the business. Be responsible for sourcing strategies for key production materials, including specialty paper, packaging, and printing services. Build strong relationships with global suppliers and production partners to ensure capacity, quality, and innovation. Negotiate contracts and service agreements that optimize cost, lead time, and sustainability. Lead coordination across multiple manufacturing sites, ensuring flawless handoffs between production, packaging, and fulfillment. Lead all aspects of global logistics, including transportation and warehousing strategies, to deliver on-time to retail, distribution, and direct-to-consumer channels. Continuously improve network design, optimizing for cost, service level, and environmental impact. Develop scalable procedures that are in line with the organization's expansion path and product variety. Introduce operational metrics, dashboards, and governance to drive accountability and continuous improvement. Lead and develop a team of high-performing supply chain professionals across planning, procurement, logistics, and operations. Champion a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of dynamic supply chain leadership experience, ideally in publishing, consumer goods, or entertainment merchandise. Proven success running complex global supply chains with both creative production (e.g., books, collectibles, specialty print) and high-volume distribution. Expertise in demand planning, sourcing, logistics, and vendor management. Demonstrated capability to guide in a dynamic, ever-changing, and occasionally unclear environment. Proficient in analyzing information and turning it into useful recommendations. Experience implementing or optimizing ERP and planning systems in a global organization.
