Description The Director of Talent Acquisition leads the organization’s talent acquisition strategy and execution for a multi-state health care company. This role is responsible for developing recruiting strategies, leading the recruiting team, and successfully filling hard-to-staff roles across both urban and rural markets nationwide. While prior clinic-level experience is not required, experience recruiting within healthcare or other regulated, service-driven environments is strongly preferred. This role partners closely with executive leadership and operations, translating workforce needs into effective, scalable recruiting solutions while maintaining ownership of day-to-day execution. This position report to the Chief People Officer. Requirements Recruiting Strategy & Execution Design and execute talent acquisition strategies aligned with organizational growth, clinic coverage needs, and workforce plans Partner with HR leadership, Operations, Clinical Leadership, and Finance to forecast hiring demand and prioritize recruiting efforts Balance strategic planning with hands-on oversight of recruiting execution to ensure roles are filled efficiently and effectively Continuously evaluate and adapt recruiting approaches based on market conditions and business needs Hard-to-Fill & Geographic Recruiting Lead recruiting efforts for difficult-to-fill roles, including clinical, leadership, and specialized operational positions Develop targeted sourcing strategies for urban, suburban, and rural markets, recognizing distinct regional labor challenges Apply creative and proactive sourcing methods to expand candidate pipelines Identify patterns in vacancy risk and recommend mitigation strategies Clinical & Non-Clinical Recruiting Oversight Oversee recruiting for a wide range of roles, including: Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (depending on organizational structure) Clinical leadership roles Corporate and field-based operational roles Partner with clinical and operational leaders to ensure hiring decisions align with coverage, quality, and long-term retention goals Talent Acquisition Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop a team of recruiters and sourcing professionals Set clear expectations, priorities, and performance measures for the TA team Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement Ensure adequate staffing and workload balance within the recruiting function Candidate Experience & Employer Brand Ensure a consistent, positive candidate experience across all roles and markets Partner with Marketing and HR to strengthen employer branding and recruiting messaging Lead recruitment marketing strategy, including job advertisements, career events, and community engagement initiatives. Represent the organization professionally and competitively in tight labor markets Ensure recruiting practices reflect organizational values, culture, and brand Processes, Metrics & Market Intelligence Establish and track recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, quality of hire, candidate experience, and offer acceptance rates Use data and market insights to identify recruiting challenges and opportunities Recommend adjustments to sourcing strategy, process, or prioritization based on performance trends Manage recruiting tools, systems, and external vendor relationships Compliance & Risk Management Ensure recruiting practices comply with employment law, EEOC guidelines, and healthcare-related requirements Partner with HR, Legal, and Compliance teams to maintain equitable and compliant hiring practices Support documentation and audit readiness related to recruiting activities Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree required 8+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition or recruiting Demonstrated experience building and executing recruiting strategies Proven success recruiting hard-to-fill roles across multiple geographies Experience recruiting in both urban and rural markets Experience recruiting in multi-state and retail type environments Experience leading and developing recruiting teams Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Preferred Healthcare recruiting experience (urgent care experience not required) Experience recruiting in regulated or credential-based environments Experience supporting multi-state or distributed organizations Exposure to high-growth or rapidly changing business environments Skills & Competencies Strategic thinking with strong execution orientation Ability to influence without direct authority Data-driven decision-making Creative problem-solving in competitive labor markets Strong organizational and prioritization skills Collaborative leadership style
