Description The Director of Technology is a hands-on, strategic leader who partners across our global organization to build and optimize the systems that power the business. This role goes beyond IT support—designing and delivering scalable, high-impact technology solutions that improve operational efficiency, strengthen data visibility, and enable smarter decision-making at every level. From leading and evolving our Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central environment to optimizing Microsoft 365, Azure, EDI, infrastructure, and cybersecurity, this leader ensures our technology ecosystem is secure, integrated, and built for growth. Equal parts strategist and builder, the Director of Technology translates business priorities into practical, high-performing solutions that drive measurable results and long-term scalability. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to shape the company’s technology roadmap while rolling up your sleeves to make it happen. Requirements Responsibilities Business Systems & ERP Solutions Lead the complete end-to-end migration from Microsoft NAV to Microsoft Dynamics Business Central to support the global business. Act as Project Owner and chief liaison between global business teams and external service providers through all stages of project. Ensure ERP and other systems integrate seamlessly with other business tools to maximize efficiency and insights. This includes but is not limited to: Shopify, Elastic Suite, EDI connections, Avalara, Netstock, Happy Returns, and our 3PL warehouse management system. Data Warehouse Integrity & Business Intelligence Maintain and improve upon existing Data Warehouse solutions and master data management. Support internal users on design, development and accessibility to PowerBI and other Enterprise reporting tools. Leverage SQL expertise and Azure Data Services (including Azure SQL, data pipelines, and data integration tools) to strengthen data architecture, ensure data integrity, and enable global scalable, business-ready reporting and analytics. New Technology Deployment Proactively identify, evaluate, test and deploy new AI-solutions across the business environment. Act as a subject matter expert across teams. Oversee Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, proactively updating environments and installing new solutions that further enhance collaboration, scalability, and security. Strategic Leadership & Execution Develop and execute a technological roadmap aligned with business objectives. Evaluate and implement new technologies that deliver measurable business value. Collaborate with IT colleagues and manage external contractors as assigned, to drive successful project outcomes in a timely manner. Keep contractors accountable to timeline, cost, and project goals. Stay well informed on upcoming technology solutions that could benefit the business. Use previous experiences and knowledge to identify gaps and suggested solutions to enhance our IT capabilities and support for business scalability. Hands-On Technology Delivery Manage servers, network infrastructure, and cloud services to ensure reliability and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across systems and infrastructure. Drive system upgrades, migrations, and integrations with a business-focused perspective. Support end-user needs related to technology machinery, system access, and other troubleshooting as needed. Requirements Bachelor's degree in technology, or related field. 7+ years of experience in technological roles, with increasing responsibilities including experience in leadership and strategic planning. 2+ years of experience managing IT employees or external contractors Demonstrated experience with successfully implementing/upgrading ERP systems Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, servers, and network administration. Proven experience in cybersecurity best practices and risk management. Hands-on, solution-oriented mindset with ability to bridge technology and business needs. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, translating technical concepts into business impact. Work Environment & Work Environment Location: Hybrid Standard business hours with occasional off-business hours projects and global support Office/computer-based work Compensation: This role can expect to earn between $150,000 - $185,000 annually.
