About the role Ideally based in Canberra but open to multiple locations, the Director of Technology & Innovation will provide strategic leadership for innovation across Fujitsus Defence Line of Business, driving the identification, development and transition of innovative ideas, technologies and delivery models that enhance Defence outcomes, strengthen Fujitsus competitive position, and support sustainable growth across Defence programs and accounts. The role acts as a senior advisor to Defence leadership, partnering closely with delivery, security, commercial, and technology leaders to embed innovation into operational execution, bids, and long-term capability planning. Responsibilities: Define and execute the Defence innovation strategy aligned to Fujitsus broader innovation agenda and Defence customer priorities Identify emerging technologies, delivery models, and industry trends relevant to Defence capability, security and resilience Translate innovation concepts into practical, value-driven initiatives that can be adopted within Defence programs Partner with Defence stakeholders to understand capability gaps, future needs, and opportunities for innovation Support bid and proposal activity by shaping innovative solutions that differentiate Fujitsu in the Defence market Ensure innovation initiatives are aligned to Defence regulatory, security, and compliance requirements Work across Defence delivery teams to embed innovation into existing and new programs Support the transition of innovation concepts into operational delivery, pilots, or scalable solutions Ensure innovation initiatives align with governance, risk, and assurance frameworks Requirements and Experience: Significant senior-level experience leading innovation, transformation, or strategic initiatives in complex environments Demonstrated experience working within Defence, Federal Government, or highly regulated environments Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct line management authority Experience shaping innovative solutions within bids, programs or large-scale delivery environments Experience within Defence ICT, national security, critical infrastructure or cyber domains Exposure to emerging technologies such as cloud, cyber security, data, AI, or digital transformation Hold a current or reinstatable AGSVA security clearance Why Fujitsu?
