DIRECTOR OF TECHNOLOGY:

On behalf of our healthcare client, Procom is searching for a Director of Technology for a 6 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

DIRECTOR OF TECHNOLOGY - JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client is seeking a futurist and experienced Director of Technology to join their growing team. This role involves leveraging technology to transform healthcare, drive innovation, and empower frontline professionals, contributing to the mission of creating seamlessly connected healthcare for better well-being. As a pivotal leader, you will shape the technological landscape, collaborate with the CTO, and ensure the secure and efficient delivery of innovative healthcare solutions.

DIRECTOR OF TECHNOLOGY - MANDATORY SKILLS:

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in an IT leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience in conceptual design and solution architecture.
• Proficiency in cloud architecture, Azure administration, and Microsoft Power Platform.
• Strong understanding of data privacy and security principles.
• Experience implementing AI agents into live environments.
• Proven ability in system implementation and optimizing operational processes.
• Demonstrated success in people management and developing IT strategy.

DIRECTOR OF TECHNOLOGY – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

• Undergraduate degree and/or certificate in IT or related fields.
• Experience in the healthcare or insurance industries.
• Background in supporting data pipelines for claim management systems.

• Collaborate with the CTO to develop comprehensive IT strategies and research essential technologies.
• Lead conceptual design and solution architecture in Microsoft Power Platform for healthcare systems.
• Oversee cloud architecture, Azure administration, and Microsoft architecture.
• Implement and maintain data privacy and security policies, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Develop and enforce policies around technology infrastructure and manage system implementation projects.
• Cultivate and manage strategic vendor relationships.
• Provide strong people management and foster a culture of continuous learning.
• Continuously educate the team on emerging technology trends and monitor budgets.
• Clearly communicate technology strategies and updates internally and externally.
