This position bridges internal capacity-building and client empowerment. The Director will lead the design and delivery of high-impact trainings for staff, ensuring consistency, compliance, and professional growth, while also expanding access to meaningful learning opportunities for clients that promote housing stability, job readiness, and personal growth. This role calls for a creative, organized, and relationship-oriented leader who thrives on collaboration, innovation, and seeing people succeed. Key Focus Areas Staff Training & Professional Development Develop, coordinate, and facilitate agency-wide trainings in core areas such as documentation, case management, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, safety planning, and mandated reporting. Build a structured onboarding process for new staff that emphasizes Renaissance’s mission, values, and quality standards. Partner with Program Directors and HR to track compliance with required trainings and certifications. Create and maintain an annual training calendar that includes compliance, professional development, and leadership tracks. Evaluate staff feedback and training outcomes to inform continuous improvement. Client Education & Empowerment Design and facilitate client-centered trainings that promote life skills, housing stability, and self-sufficiency — such as: Job readiness and workplace preparation Harm reduction and relapse prevention strategies Financial literacy and budgeting basics Tenant rights and responsibilities Communication and self-advocacy skills Collaborate with housing, clinical, and case management teams to integrate these workshops into existing program structures. Partner with local organizations, workforce centers, and community colleges to enhance access to resources and guest speakers. Develop feedback tools to measure client engagement and skill-building outcomes. Quality & Compliance Integration Ensure all staff trainings meets regulatory requirements under Rule 132, Rule 140, and CARF standards. Work closely with the QA and Safety & Compliance teams to address trends identified through audits, incidents, or client feedback. Align all learning initiatives with Renaissance’s core mission and housing-first, trauma-informed, and equity-based practices. Collaboration & Culture Building Build strong partnerships across programs to ensure training topics reflect real-world challenges and opportunities. Support supervisors in developing coaching and mentoring skills. Foster a learning culture where curiosity, accountability, and growth are valued. Coordinate an annual Staff & Client Development Day celebrating learning and progress across the agency. Qualifications Education & Clinical Licensure Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related Behavioral Health field is required. Current Illinois Clinical Licensure (LCSW or LCPC) is required to provide clinical oversight and verify competency-based training. Experience & Skills 5–7 years in human services with 3+ years in a leadership or training-specific role. Experience in change management or "building" organizational systems is highly preferred. Proficiency in Paycom (HRIS/LMS) and Microsoft Office Suite. Deep understanding of CARF standards and Illinois Administrative Code personnel and staffing requirements. Ability to lead with grace and accountability.
