General Summary: This role serves as a critical leadership position within Orange Wealth Management including the direct supervision of key positions and the indirect supervision of assigned Fiduciary Officers, Admins, Operations and Support staff. This includes the fiduciary management and oversight of administration of Trust Services throughout the department footprint, as well as a visible leadership role within the community where the incumbent’s primary office is located. This position is a member of the department’s leadership team and works collaboratively with other department leaders to produce good financial results while maintaining appropriate risk management oversight. Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities: 1. Provides leadership and guidance related to the fiduciary administration oversight of Trust Services which includes the following: 2. Oversight on all Fiduciary (Trust) matters for OWM. 3. Oversight for all Trust operational functions 4. Direct management responsibility for key positions within the fiduciary and operations group; 5. Ensures compliance with industry best practices and regulatory exams; 6. Ensures continued improvements in best practices; 7. Provides specialized Trust service and assistance, answer questions, resolves complaints, etc.; 8. Develops and produces customer correspondence and follow-up calls; 9. Communicates effectively to make sure the team is aware of and on top of changes within the department and more broadly within the industry; 10. Helps oversee Trust Policy enhancements and follow-through; 11. Helps develop leadership and strategy within the team. 12. Serves as Department Representative to provide and present internal reports as required for Trust Committee Board (TCB). 13. Sits on Trust and Trust Investment Committees. 14. Relationship Development 15. Manages an assigned book of business supported by the trust administrative team. 16. Promotes and sells new business through proactive development of products and relationships with assigned accounts and target markets for Trust. 17. Aids in the development of enhancements which increase the sales staff's ability to deliver service and bring in additional business to the Trust division. 18. Establishes and maintains relationships with key community contacts which enhance business development for the company with a specific focus on Trust. 19. Participates in sales meetings, identification of customers and prospects, business development calls, referrals, tracking, submittal of reports, etc. 20. Participates in Trust relationship efforts and account management. 21. Refers business to other departments outside of own expertise: home mortgage, investment services, and commercial banking. 22. Participates in community activities and assumes leadership roles where appropriate. 23. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE: Education: Required: Bachelor’s degree required plus 15 or more years of Trust Estate administrative experience Juris Doctor (JD) In Lieu of JD, Certified Trust Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) Preferred: Any advanced degrees or certifications preferred, Candidates will be considered if they have a two year degree with at least 10 years’ well rounded working banking experience in different areas of a bank (banking, trust, lending and investments) Experience: Required: Five Years’ Management Experience Preferred: Ten Years’ Management and Certified Trust Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: 1. Position requires extensive problem-solving, leadership and decision-making abilities. Every client is different with a unique set of issues. Errors in judgment could result in financial risk to the Bank, as well as loss of good will. 2. Advanced working knowledge of investment management. 3. A high level of competency in managing complex and ever-changing dynamics related to each client. 4. Exemplary communication/writing skills and leadership ability. 5. Ability to communicate both inside and outside of the bank. 6. Quality control of all products used by the customer. 7. Proficiency in sales and service techniques – prospecting and networking. 8. Strong financial acumen, general knowledge of commercial lending to small businesses. 9. Ability to establish credibility and rapport, excellent customer contact skills. 10. Contacts in the market, especially Centers of Influence are helpful. 11. Superior writing skills; public speaking required. WORK ENVIRONMENT: 1. Flexibility to work additional hours including nights, weekends and holidays, as required. 2. Typically, the noise level in the work environment is low to moderate. 3.
