Project Sponsorship: Supervise and oversee the execution of urban transport projects in Ireland, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with contract. Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing team, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure project success. Technical Expertise: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of standards, regulations, and industry best practices, and apply this knowledge to project planning and delivery. Client Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and requirements to provide tailored consultancy services. Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and accuracy of project deliverables, and implement quality control processes to meet client expectations. Financial Management: Manage project budgets, financial forecasts, and resource allocation to optimize project profitability. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and regulatory bodies, to facilitate project approvals and compliance. Reporting: Provide regular project updates and reports to the UK & Ireland Roads and Active Travel Director and clients, demonstrating progress and achievements. Business Development: Identify opportunities for business growth, develop winning strategies, and actively participate in the proposal and bid process to secure new urban transport projects. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Chartered Engineer (CEng) with Engineers Ireland or equivalent recognised professional body. Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, roads, or transport infrastructure. Proven track record of successfully delivering infrastructure projects. Strong business development skills with a history of winning and developing design and engineering work. Exceptional leadership and team management abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Financial acumen and experience in project budget management.
