The Director of Visual Merchandising & Presentation Training plays a pivotal strategic and executional role in shaping the visual identity of the brand across all physical retail environments.
This individual leads the development of compelling, brand-right, and commercially driven visual strategies that bring the product assortment to life, enhance the customer experience, and support broader business objectives.
This role oversees all aspects of in-store presentation—from pre-assortment product strategy planning through to in-store execution and field training across EMEA. It drives a 360° vision of the retail environment, considering store layout, capacity, and the seasonal product opportunities available. This individual has the vision to unlock the full potential of the product in a store setting while understanding the nuances of local markets.
By partnering with Buying, Merchandising, Planning, and Wholesale Sales teams, the Director translates strategy into actionable, clear visual guidelines and directives. These resources empower store staff and hub-based VM teams with the tools to deliver a consistent and impactful customer experience. The role also leads the development of comprehensive planograms across all channels to track sales results, analyze product placement, and build money-mapping strategies that inform and optimize future seasonal plans.
Working closely with the Creative Concept & Showrooms Director, this role supports showroom visual merchandising and co-leads model store installations to bridge creative concept execution with seasonal in-store rollouts. The Director is responsive to trade results and collaborates with the trade team by feeding back VM insights from the field.
Talent development is a core part of the role. The Director is responsible for growing the capabilities of hub coordinators through robust training and communication programs. Reviewing store visit reports, delivering constructive feedback, leading brand visits, and participating in model store set-ups are all essential to remaining connected to the regions and the teams.
As a key influencer across functions—including Merchandising, Planning, Buying, Marketing, and Retail Operations—this individual brings a collaborative, solution-focused mindset to align brand and business needs. They carry the product journey from conception through to installation, fully integrating seasonal and long-range brand strategies into the store network.
