POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Warehouse Operations will oversee the planning, setup, and execution of warehouse operations across multiple markets. This role requires an experienced leader who can design and implement warehouse facilities from the ground up, establish best-in-class operational standards, and ensure seamless integration with Pulse’s final-mile delivery network. The Director will be hands-on, highly strategic, and will partner closely with executive leadership to support national growth initiatives. In addition, this leader will be directly responsible for managing and guiding the teams that operate within each warehouse, ensuring alignment with company standards and performance expectations.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience) desired.
· Minimum 7–10 years of warehouse operations leadership, with proven success in setting up warehouses from scratch.
· Strong knowledge of final-mile, big & bulky delivery logistics.
· Experience leading geographically dispersed warehouse teams.
· Demonstrated ability to design efficient layouts, workflows, and process improvements.
· Strong financial acumen with experience managing warehouse budgets and P&L.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability and willingness to travel frequently (up to 60–70%) to oversee warehouse launches and audits.

· Lead end-to-end setup of new warehouse facilities, including site planning, layout design, staffing, vendor sourcing, equipment procurement, and process implementation.
· Develop scalable warehouse models that support rapid expansion and integration with Pulse’s delivery and installation operations.
· Ensure each facility is compliant with safety regulations, operational standards, and client requirements.
· Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, staging, inventory control, and outbound dispatch.
· Establish and monitor SOPs to ensure accuracy, safety, and efficiency in all handling processes.
· Implement and enforce cycle counts, audits, and compliance checks to minimize shrinkage and inventory errors.
· Recruit, train, and mentor warehouse managers and staff, fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and safety.
· Provide guidance and support to operations managers in aligning warehouse execution with delivery excellence.
· Define and manage KPIs for warehouse performance, productivity, and cost efficiency.
· Drive process improvements to reduce inefficiencies, streamline workflows, and enhance service levels.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, IT, Finance, Compliance and Executive leadership) to improve integration across the supply chain.
· Ensure all warehouses adhere to OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards.
· Lead safety initiatives, training programs, and audits to maintain a zero-incident culture.
· Develop and manage warehouse operating budgets, including labor, equipment, and facilities.
· Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high service standards.
