Location: 4435 E Chandler Rd, Suite 130, Phoenix, AZ 85226
Schedule: On-site | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Salary Range: $70,000 – $85,000 annually (DOE)

POSITION SUMMARY

Athena Specialty Group is seeking a Director of Workplace & People Operations to lead both our human resources function and daily operational management.
This role blends HR leadership with operational oversight, ensuring compliance, efficient workflows, and a thriving workplace culture. The Director will oversee payroll, benefits, recruitment, and employee engagement while also managing credentialing, contracts, logistics, and administrative processes.
This is a hands-on leadership position requiring both strategic vision and tactical execution in a fast-paced, mobile healthcare environment.

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, OSHA, and Arizona labor laws.
• Maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
• Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS management.
• Support employee relations, investigations, and performance management.
• Drive initiatives that strengthen engagement, retention, and workplace culture.
