Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Director, Offensive Security (Red Team), to join our growing team!
The Director, Offensive Security, is responsible for testing the security controls, the network, and threat response for all regions and affiliate companies within Intact Financial. He/she works as a technical leader and strategist while having the ability to be hands-on. The Director, Offensive Security (Red Team), reports to the CISO IFC Affiliates and manages a team of technical experts across multiple locations and time zones; this is an opportunity to stand up a global red teaming program!

WHAT YOU’LL DO HERE:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to interpret, understand and communicate real business risks as they relate to technology risks. Develop and lead intelligence driven Red Team engagements and missions.
  • Build and manage a team of offensive security specialists, fostering their growth and ensuring the alignment of their skills with organizational needs.
  • Influence and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, to drive the adoption of security initiatives and enhance the overall security posture.
  • Develop and maintain threat profile and external landscape risk views
  • Develop attack strategies to simulate real-world attacks by threat actors and measure our response
  • Analyze and report on the results of red/purple team assessments and make recommendations to improve the security posture of the organization.
  • Advise management about noncompliance with defined standards in application tested, in language adjusted for the audience (this will vary from technical audiences to business line executives – you will need to be able to adjust your message for the audience while delivering the same message).
  • Provide clear communication on the issue to developers and verify the efficacy of the fix.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to other teams to improve the security of products and services offered as an outcome of the testing process
  • Ensure the maintenance of all security tools, technologies and processes required for red Team operations.
  • Provide timely and effective communications to key internal stakeholders.
  • Advanced knowledge in the following areas: computer networks, operational security platforms, information security principles, SOC, IAM, SIEM, DLP, EDR, Threat intelligence, Incident Response, technical writing, information risk.
