Drive outcomes that matter. We are seeking a high-performing leader to step into the role of Director Office of the Secretary within the Department of Customer Service. This is a unique opportunity to operate at the centre of decision-making—partnering closely with the Secretary, Ministers’ Offices and senior executives to coordinate strategic priorities, navigate complex issues and ensure the seamless delivery of the government’s agenda. About the role As Director, you will lead the Secretary’s Office and act as a key integrator across the Department and broader government. You will: Drive strategic coordination and operational leadership of the Secretary’s Office Provide high-quality advice on sensitive, complex and fast-moving issues Enable effective executive governance, planning and decision-making forums Build strong relationships across Ministers’ Offices, agencies and stakeholders Anticipate emerging risks and ensure the Secretary is briefed to act decisively What we’re looking for This opportunity suits an experienced leader who is confident operating in complex, high-pressure environments and influencing at senior levels across government.
