Description Position Title: Clinical Director Status: Exempt Position Type: Full Time Reports To: Chief Clinical Officer Direct Reports: Clinical Supervisor(s) About GRO Community: God Restoring Order (GRO) Community is a mental healthcare provider that specializes in trauma recovery services for males of color ages 5 and up. GRO services are grounded in an understanding of the neurological, biological and psychological effects of trauma. GRO services include mental health and wellness, stress management, and community outreach. Job Description: Purpose of Position: The clinical director oversees the daily operations of Ohio’s clinical team so that the organization meets its goals and clients receive the best treatment. They will develop, implement, and assess programs, complying with standards and manage the behavioral health and intake personnel. The clinical director will focus on managing the clinical department and providing support and assistance to the Chief Clinical Officer. Essential Functions: ? Oversee department compliance. ? Ensure the department has sufficient and qualified personnel. ? Provides clinical mentoring, coaching, guidance, training, and support to behavioral health staff ? Develops and maintains tribal resources for staff, such as protocols and training. ? Delegates work assignments and establish priorities as necessary. ? Handles department interviews and hiring, performance appraisals, and constructive discipline by department policy ? Conducts meetings, including supervision of staff, in efforts to keep staff informed and to seek feedback on clinical programming. ? Participate in administrative/leadership team meetings and engage in collaborative decision-making. ? Ensures that treatment is coordinated between various team members, including counselor/case managers, licensed therapists, and interns and trainees ? Problem-solve potential concerns and identify effective solutions. ? Provides training for interns/trainees as appropriate; is available for consults regarding emergencies and other client issues ? Provide clinical consultation and crisis backup to clinicians and interns as needed. ? Is responsible for monitoring the quality of Clinical Assessments, clinical case notes, closing summaries, and treatment plans. ? Actively participates in continuing education to maintain licensure and encourages staff to do the same; provides in-service training to staff as needed ? Ability to delegate and supervise tasks as required ? Ensuring all documentation and services align with Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) and Medicaid requirements. Master’s degree in social work, sociology, psychology or counseling required. ? LISW or LPCC-S required. Experience: ? Minimum of 3 years supervisor experience ? Minimum of 5 years’ job-related experience, preferably in counseling, clinical social work, clinical professional counseling, or psychology. ? Social services work experience required ?
