Description

IN A NUTSHELL.

As Director Operations you are responsible for the quality and performance of our operations. You will lead an operation with over 200 employees across multiple layers, modalities and disciplines. You will develop your direct reports (6 employees) so they can enable their teams or own skills to excel. Together with the founders, you will set the course for Operations and contribute to strategic decisions around growth, partnerships, and investments.
We closed 2024 on a high, reporting 8% EBIT profitability and expanding our market share to 75%. With profits reinvested in fleet upgrades and expansion into electric cars and e-bikes. This is a unique opportunity to manage a mature, profitable shared e-mopeds business, a fast growing e-cars scale-up and an e-bikes business in the start-up phase.

REQUIREMENTS.

  • Master’s degree and at least 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience leading a multi-layered organization (some of your direct reports manage teams themselves).
  • Track record in scaling an organization
  • Strong leadership qualities: people-focused and result-driven.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on mentality
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills across all levels (founders, teams, external partners).
  • You have the potential to grow into a Managing Director role.
Responsibilities

You hold full responsibility for operational performance, fleet quality and availability. You combine a strong focus on people with an analytical and results-driven approach to processes and results.

Your responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the operational strategy to ensure growth, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Full P&L responsibility for all fixed and variable costs
  • Lead, develop, and inspire an organization of 200+ employees through 6 direct reports
  • Design and implement a scalable organizational structure that is future-proof.
  • Act as a strategic sparring partner to the founders on topics such as expansion, M&A opportunities or investments.
  • Create a work environment where people take ownership, develop themselves, and enjoy their work.
  • Work together with Product, Support, Finance, Growth and HR teams to solve complex interdepartmental problems
