  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, marketing, or association management.
  • CAIB licence and experience in insurance is considered an asset
  • Excellent execution skills
  • Proven expertise in event management, partnership development, and brand promotion.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in media and public relations.
  • Ability to manage budgets, projects, and teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of the insurance or financial services sector is an asset.

Verve Recruitment Group in Partnership with The Insurance Brokers Association of Manitoba (IBAM) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director – Operations & Marketing to join our client’s leadership team. This role is responsible for overseeing staff, driving marketing and communications strategies, managing member and partner initiatives, and leading the execution of IBAM’s signature events and programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership and direction to staff and ensure alignment with IBAM’s strategic plan.
  • Develop and execute annual marketing and promotional strategies, including campaigns, advertising, and media relations.
  • Oversee member communications, social media, branding, and educational campaigns.
  • Lead planning and execution of major IBAM events (Convention, AGM, Golf Tournament, receptions).
  • Manage strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and stakeholder relationships.
  • Support the CEO with strategic initiatives and board priorities.
