Are you a strategic leader focused on managing operational excellence in a rapidly shifting global technical environment within an esteemed Medtech, audio, video and gaming conglomerate?
As the Director of Operations Project Management, you will oversee product cost management, gross margin enhancement, and seamless product launches from ideation to mass production. You will collaborate with Global R&D, Product Management, and Finance to optimize product features and cost structures, ensuring alignment with business goals.
You will manage our efforts in securing business outcomes through effective execution of operational objectives. In this role, you will manage complex departments, ensuring the delivery of key performance indicators and operational targets.
The team you will be part of:
At our global HQ, located in Ballerup, Denmark, you will report directly to the Vice President of Global Project and Partner Management, Per Romose. You will also be part of functional Leadership Team with colleagues located in Denmark, China and in the US.
As the Director of Operations Project Management, you are responsible for leading and managing three people managers and approximately ten team members, who are based at our headquarters in Denmark and local offices in China.

Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:

  • Challenge proposed technologies and specifications during the early ideation phase to enhance cost efficiency.
  • Manage the selection of key components and manufacturing technologies, ensuring they are tailored for mass production in collaboration with other key-stakeholders in Global Operations.
  • Integrate Global Operations strategies within the local context, including supplier selection and new product introduction.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, cultivating a positive work environment and ensuring accountability.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships effectively, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across diverse teams.
  • Implement innovative reporting mechanisms and establish KPIs to measure departmental performance and progress.

To thrive in the role, we imagine that you have:

  • A higher educational background at a bachelor’s level in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • +Ten years of experience in team management, particularly with Project Managers and Engineers in a technical environment.
  • Technical knowledge in electronics or mechanical projects, with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • The ability in process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills enabling you to manage stakeholders and deliver clear, compelling messages.
  • Demonstrated initiative and flexibility, with a result-oriented mindset and structured work habits.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office tools.
  • The ability to meet the travel requirements of approximately 25-40 days per year, which can be coordinated in advance.

As a senior leader, your primary focus should be on cultivating leadership abilities and stakeholder relationships to support your team’s efforts. This position necessitates a forward-thinking attitude, organized and effective work practices, and a strategic perspective for handling intricate situations. Consistency, flexibility, and commercial awareness are essential.
