Description

The Director OR Senior Manager of Identity & Access Management is responsible for the strategic direction, design, implementation, and management of enterprise-wide IAM programs, policies, and technologies. This leader oversees the governance and operations of user access and identity lifecycle management to ensure the security and integrity of systems and data. The role partners across IT, Security, HR, Compliance, and business units to ensure that access rights are managed effectively and follow regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
This position may be eligible for the possibility of remote work.

DIRECTOR-LEVEL MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, data science, information science, or related field required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

DIRECTOR-LEVEL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

  • Ten (10) significant years of experience in an IT functional area with experience managing mid-large teams with focus on both achievement of objectives as well as critical skill-building.
  • Strong experience leading IAM teams is highly preferred.
  • Experience in leading large-scale projects/processes through to implementation.
  • Experience with operational management, budget planning & vendor and resource management.
  • Prior experience in building external connections with peers, emerging technology communities, and vendor networks.
  • Proven performance in earlier role/comparable role.

SENIOR MANAGER-LEVEL MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, data science, information science, or related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

SENIOR MANAGER-LEVEL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum Experience: 8+ years of IT experience with experience managing small/mid-size teams.
  • Strong experience leading IAM teams is highly preferred.
  • Experience leading complex projects/delivery in terms of resources, vendors, and budgets.
  • Experience managing teams in a supervisory/ leadership capacity.
  • Proven performance in earlier role/comparable role.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure continuous improvement in own IT area with regard to solutions and quality standards.
  • Collaborate and engage with internal cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, including vendors, to ensure achievement of project outcomes.
  • Lead systems for governance, monitoring, review, and control of processes and functions performed by the department.
  • Support the development of the team budget and actively track and manage the budget.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing IAM team, providing coaching, performance management, and career development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with key leaders in internal functions and partner/vendor organizations to optimize organizational outcomes.
  • Define operational plan and oversee development and execution in line with IT objectives.
  • Propose innovative & differentiating IT capabilities within own technology/process area to business teams and oversee implementation and adoption.
  • Provide input into overall budget and variance management for departmental initiatives.
  • Manage scope, schedule, and resources to ensure work is delivered in accordance with business needs and established quality standards while eliminating risks.
  • Actively drive processes for team management in terms of goal setting, performance, development, and engagement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
