  • Bachelors Degree is required
  • 5-10 years experience in strategy/operations in healthcare is required
  • Dedication, above all, to caring for patients suffering from chronic kidney failure across the nation; experience working in dialysis clinic operations preferred
  • Demonstrated passion for ensuring every patient is empowered to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Strong sense of accountability, including a passion for owning, organizing, and driving multiple projects in parallel and seeing them to full completion
  • Ability to engage directly with and influence senior-level executives (e.g., CEO, COO, etc.), TMs of different professional backgrounds, and external stakeholders.
  • Problem solving skills: Ability to structure ambiguous problems, think creatively, generate and test hypotheses

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO)

  • Work closely with clinical teammates and develops long-standing relationships with operators, clinicians, and others
  • Leverage hypotheses-based approach to identify, validate, quantify and build buy-in around opportunities in partnership with clinical and business leadership
  • Oversee teammate(s) work, provides coaching, and develops team culture
  • Analyze data, provide insights, and structure presentations to tell a meaningful story and drive decision making
  • Independently assess opportunities/priorities and define work plan
  • Engage with teammates across teams at DaVita to foster alignment and integration of person-centered care vision into their work
  • Operate as an internal SME to support various teams and consult on person-centered care approaches or efforts
  • Leverage continuous improvement tools to structure and incubate improvement opportunities
  • Manage and coordinate new initiatives from idea generation to implementation: new clinical program/ initiative design and development, training and communication materials development, pilot facilities support (training, communication, tracking and follow-up), pilot results review and evaluation, development of field and physician communications, training tools and the facilitation of Village wide implementation
  • Synthesize quantitative and qualitative data to make meaningful proactive and reactive policy/advocacy recommendations
  • Other duties as assigned

The Director, Person-Centered Care Strategy and Innovation will work on high priority, high visibility initiatives in a rapidly evolving area within DaVita and the healthcare industry. Collaborate with a cross-functional team of clinical, operating, and business leaders across DaVita, and help chart the path toward a healthier tomorrow for all. This position plays a key role as a leader, strategist, thought partner, executor, and internal consultant in developing solutions to reduce outcome disparities among DaVita’s patient population. Topics will likely include:

  • Insight generation through a rigorous understanding of data, trends, and qualitative information
  • Development and operationalizing of national and local person-centered care strategies, potentially including leading pilot and program launches
  • Initiation and/or support of national partnerships to impact barriers within DaVita’s scope of influence (potentially including but not limited to social drivers of health)
  • Partnering with Government Affairs team to understand the evolving policy landscape and determining DaVita’s positioning, and potentially engaging with congressional stakeholder
