ABOUT THE POSITION The Director, Pharmacy Informatics and Technology serve as a strategic leader who drives excellence across consulting engagements, project teams, and client organizations. This role blends deep subject-matter expertise with strong leadership, guiding teams through proactive coaching, thoughtful feedback, and the creation of growth opportunities. As a core member of the Visante Pharmacy Informatics and Technology (PharmIT) Leadership Team, the Director shapes project direction, ensures high-quality delivery, and builds trusted advisory relationships with C-suite executives, clinical leaders, and other key stakeholders. Their innovative thinking, ability to influence beyond the immediate project scope, and consistent contributions to thought leadership position them as an emerging organizational leader with an “owner” mindset. In addition to leading complex engagements, the Director acts as a sought-after expert whose insights help clients advance their strategic vision. They represent their specialty area across workgroups, offering guidance on how informatics and technology capabilities can address organizational needs and drive meaningful transformation. Through business development efforts, white papers, and speaking engagements, the Director strengthens Visante’s market presence while supporting the growth of both colleagues and clients. Principle Duties and Responsibilities Owns the client relationship and is accountable for overall engagement success. Serves as the senior client advisor on clinical information systems, health IT, and related operations. Provides long-term leadership across multiple client engagements. Leads business development efforts and is primarily responsible for closing sales with clients. Guides thought leadership and facilitates high-impact client meetings. Oversees specific projects or SOWs while coordinating with multiple Senior Leadership as needed. Manages day-to-day project delivery, ensuring strong client, project, and team performance. Builds and maintains trusted partnerships with clients and internal team members. Develops innovative strategies, tools, and solutions to support both new and existing clients. Creates proposals, SOWs, and reports; delivers high-quality presentations; and resolves issues through effective planning and problem-solving. Requirements Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. from an ACPE certified school of pharmacy. Preferred: Relevant advanced degree (e.g., MS, MBA, MPH, MHA) Experience Required: Minimum 5+ years of clinical practice post-professional degree experience (including postgraduate training). Minimum 5+ years of pharmacy informatics experience (i.e., build, implementation, maintenance, and optimization). Experience in working with healthcare providers on strategic and operational initiatives, including minimum of 3 years in managing others. Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale and/or enterprise health system pharmacy projects, including automation and informatics system platforms. Direct experience with vendor-led pharmacy system implementation, upgrades, and assessments. Preferred: Previous experience in consulting and/or client-facing experience. Credentials Required: Certified in at least one Epic medication-use applications (e.g., Beacon (Oncology), Willow Inpatient, Willow Ambulatory, Willow Inventory, Clinical Decision Support, etc.) Preferred: Willow Ambulatory and Willow Inventory certification. Licensure Required: Active Pharmacist license in any state Special Skills: Demonstrates strong executive-level communication skills, with the ability to engage C-suite stakeholders and present effectively across all levels of an organization. Brings deep understanding of pharmacy operations along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. Excels in client relationship management, collaboration, and team leadership, consistently navigating competing priorities with sound judgment and urgency.
