These are just some of the reasons we were just named a Top Firm to Work for by Zweig!  We are looking for a Director - Planning and Landscape Architecture for our Fort Worth office.  WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: This role is responsible for leading project delivery, client relationships, and overall business unit performance to ensure exceptional outcomes for both clients and the firm. The Director oversees accurate and timely execution of projects, manages financial performance, leads Senior Discipline Leads and their teams, and drives business growth through strategic planning and sales initiatives.  Once selected to join our team, you will:  * Lead and manage projects while fostering strong, long-term client relationships. * Oversee overall project delivery and ensure a high level of client satisfaction within the business unit. * Manage business unit project financials to ensure profitability, efficiency, and alignment with company goals. * Ensure all projects within the business unit are executed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule. * Independently manage proposal preparation efforts. * Review and approve proposals prepared by Senior Discipline Leads and other team members. * Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to Senior Discipline Leads and their teams. * Address escalated employee matters with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment. * Oversee employee performance management, development, and succession planning. * Support company-wide initiatives and align business unit activities with Dunaway’s strategic objectives. * Develop, implement, and execute the business unit sales plan. * Create and drive the strategic plan for the business unit. * Achieve the business unit’s net revenue target of $2M–$2.5M annually. * Drive business growth through strategic hiring, strong client relationships, and proactive lead generation. * Perform other duties as assigned. KEY QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE: * Advanced knowledge of Dunaway CAD standards, with a strong emphasis on PLA CAD standards.  * Deep understanding of Dunaway design standards, particularly PLA design principles. SKILLS: * Extensive knowledge of the landscape architecture line of business.  * Strong understanding of Dunaway operations and AEC industry project disciplines.  * Advanced ability to estimate costs associated with complex technical tasks.  * Proven expertise in delivering project requirements efficiently and effectively.  * Strong financial acumen, with the ability to manage project performance metrics aligned with company objectives.  * Demonstrated ability to successfully oversee complex, multi-discipline projects.  * Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple projects concurrently.  * Ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships across Dunaway.  * Sound judgment with strong decision-making capabilities.  * Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.  * Effective negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.  * Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute business objectives.  * Proactive, results-driven approach to leadership and problem-solving.  * Proven leadership and team management capabilities.  * Ability to inspire, motivate, and guide teams toward high performance and growth. EXPERIENCE: * 10+ years of experience in landscape design.  * 6+ years as a PLA, or 15 years of relevant landscape design experience without a degree.  * Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, including financial oversight.  * At least 5 years of experience managing client relationships.  * 4–6 years of experience in a supervisory or people-leadership role.  * 4–6 years of experience in business development.  * 0–2 years of experience in strategic planning. EDUCATION: * Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture or 15 years of relevant landscape design experience * Licensed as a Professional Landscape Architect (PLA) in the state of Texas
