Title: Director, Pricing Location: Stamford, CT Job Type: Full-Time | Exempt About the Role: We’re looking for a strategic and analytical Director of Pricing to shape our company’s pricing strategy across both Retail and Wholesale channels. This role is critical to driving growth, optimizing margins, and maintaining a competitive edge in the fast-paced cannabis industry. As the Director of Pricing, you’ll develop and execute pricing frameworks that balance unit growth, customer traffic, and profitability—while accounting for regional market dynamics and consumer behavior. You’ll lead a team of two analysts and partner closely with Retail, Wholesale, Finance, Marketing, and Operations to deliver measurable business results. What You’ll Do: Lead development and execution of enterprise-wide pricing strategies. Design regionally tailored pricing models that reflect competition, regulations, and customer trends. Collaborate with Finance to align pricing with budgets, gross margin goals, and growth plans. Partner with Marketing and Merchandising on promotions, loyalty programs, and discounting strategies. Build tools and dashboards for agile pricing decisions and performance tracking. Conduct market scans and competitive analyses to guide pricing recommendations. Provide insights on price-volume trade-offs to influence business decisions. Manage and develop two pricing analysts to drive excellence and professional growth. Travel as needed to gather field insights and validate execution. What You’ll Bring: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). 8+ years in pricing, revenue management, or financial planning within multi-unit retail, CPG, or wholesale. Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.). Expertise in pricing models, elasticity, and margin management. Proven ability to translate insights into strategies that drive results. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills. Experience leading and developing team members. Even Better If: Background in the cannabis industry or other highly regulated consumer sectors. Experience leading pricing strategy across multiple regions or markets.
