Reporting to the AVP, Pricing Lead
Context
L’Oréal USA is embarking on a significant transformation by establishing a new, multi-division Pricing organization under the North America CFO. This initiative is crucial for the upcoming NEO system implementation and “The Way We Trade,” aiming to reduce customer disputes, enhance efficiency, and improve data quality.
This Director, Operational Excellence is a pivotal role, directly reporting to the Pricing Lead. As the Center of Excellence for continuous improvement and harmonization, you will serve as the strategic partner to the Pricing Lead. Your focus will be on ensuring end-to-end process control, driving system enhancement, and aligning all pricing operations with global best practices. This role is instrumental in fostering a culture of efficiency, compliance, and excellence across all divisions and accounts within the new pricing structure.

What You Will Do

  • Lead Process Harmonization & Continuous Improvement
  • Serve as the Center of Excellence for all pricing-related processes, driving consistency and harmonization across divisions and accounts within the new organization.
  • Lead transformation projects focused on process optimization, standardization, and productivity improvement for the entire pricing lifecycle.
  • Collaborate very closely with global teams and Finance Transformation initiatives to align local processes with L’Oréal’s Global model and drive strategic process improvements.
  • Drive System Enhancement & Governance
  • Act as the primary driver for system improvement initiatives within the pricing domain, working very closely with the NEO team and other key system owners to articulate and manage change requests.
  • Govern KPI tracking for the pricing organization, ensuring robust measurement of process efficiency, data quality, and operational performance.
  • Ensure internal compliance across all pricing activities, including overseeing audit readiness and adherence to established controls.
  • Oversee Master Data Management & Pricing Maintenance
  • Recruit and manage the team responsible for the maintenance of SRP and Catalogue Price ( including the execution of launches and price increases/decreases), BOM and transfer pricing
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of pricing master data within relevant systems.
  • Foster strong collaboration with Marketing, RGM teams, and Brand Finance to ensure seamless and accurate price implementation.
  • Champion Operational Excellence & Stakeholder Partnership
  • Serve as the point of contact for the O2C team, efficiently delegating the resolution of pricing discrepancies to the appropriate pricing team members.
  • Provide expert support and guidance to the Discount Teams within the Pricing Organization
  • Cultivate strong relationships with cross-functional partners across Sales, Finance, IT, and Operations to embed operational excellence across the entire commercial chain.

What We Are Looking For

  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field; MBA or relevant Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, operations, or process improvement roles within a large, complex organization , with experience in leading and developing teams.
  • Proven expertise in implementing operating models, designing robust processes, and ensuring compliance (including audit experience).
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA), particularly within finance, pricing, or master data modules, with a focus on process control and system enhancement.
  • Experience with commercial finance, pricing master data management and strong understanding of their interaction is a plus
  • A strategic, data-driven problem-solver with a keen eye for detail, capable of translating complex operational challenges into actionable solutions.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel for complex analysis, large datasets, and dynamic reporting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering strong relationships with technical and non-technical audiences across all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic setting, demonstrating strong organization, commitment to deadlines, and composure under pressure.
  • A proactive approach to driving change and transformation, with experience in managing productivity and improvement projects.
  • High attention to detail and unwavering commitment to accuracy.
