Are you a strategic leader with a passion for product management? At Danfoss Power Solutions, BU VPS we’re seeking a Director of Product Portfolio to drive the strategy, planning, and execution for our portfolio of innovative solutions in Cartridge and HIC Valves, Spool Valves, and Open-Circuit Piston Pumps. In this key leadership role, you will be pivotal in ensuring our products meet market demands, lead industry trends, and drive growth to meet our ambitious goals.
As part of the Business Unit Leadership Team, you will define and execute the product strategy and collaboratively deliver customer-centric solutions.

BACKGROUND & SKILLS

To be considered for this position, you ideally possess these skills

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Marketing.
• 7+ years of experience in the electric, electronic, or hydraulic components industry.
• Proven project management and facilitation skills.
• Experience working in global team environments.
• Experience with Danfoss products (preferred).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to balance competing priorities and make data-driven decisions.
• Customer-centric mindset with a passion for customer engagement.

In this role, you will lead a team of Product Managers and Experts, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver products that address customer needs and align with market trends. Additionally, you will play a central role in market research, roadmap development, and lifecycle management.

Outlined below your some of your key responsibilities as head of product management:

• Develop and execute product strategies and roadmaps, including market analysis, VOC collection, product positioning, and value proposition development.
• Manage the complete product lifecycle, from concept to end-of-life.
• Lead the global development and deployment of marketing programs to drive organic sales.
• Analyze global market trends and customer needs to support business wins and growth.
• Manage product portfolio mix, rationalization, and global pricing strategies.
• Monitor product profitability and recommend improvements to meet Danfoss’ financial objectives.
• Support global manufacturing footprint strategies based on market demands.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of competitive landscapes and strategies.
• Provide training and support to the global sales team and distributors.
• Lead and mentor a team of product managers and product experts.

To be successful as Director, Product Portfolio, you need to have a strong understanding of the products and its target market. You are excellent in communication and presentation and able to present strategy concisely. You are an experienced leader with strong drive and a passion for collaboration and coaching of your team. You will be a member of the business unit leadership team and have responsibility for product strategy activities and projects.
