Responsibilities
  • Ensures alignment with global and regional Category Teams, BU Heads of Procurement, and the Legal entity organization to drive implementation of category (direct and indirect) requirements in the own area of responsibility
  • Manages global and local stakeholders’ collaboration with Project Procurement Managers and Category Teams
  • Supports defining the local procurement strategy in Region / Division, drives implementation with the local team and aligns it with Category Teams
  • Responsible to manage the local resources to serve both, daily operational and project related activities and strategic initiatives led by category teams
  • Levels capacity issues between both functional / category-led and local requirements
  • Tracks target achievement of direct reports
  • Aligns with other site/ team leads to balance the resources cross location to implement strategically important projects and to drive specialization of strategic people
  • Is accountable for local procurement performance objectives/targets and interface for Regional/ Division/ BU stakeholders on all procurement related topics for services, products, and materials and coordination with Procurement and central functions of region
  • Escalates resource and target conflicts with Category Managers and BU Manager of Procurement Ensures adherence in procurement process and policies at the site/ in the region in line with Global Procurement standards
  • Focuses on cost efficiency implementation across regional procurement teams
  • Strives for identification of automation and digitalization practices and tool improvement
  • Develops and deploys procurement activities related to transformation initiative
