POSITION SUMMARY

Ross Memorial Hospital (RMH) is seeking a transformative leader for the position of Director, Quality, Safety, and Risk Management. In collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team, the Director will support the advancement of RMH’s Strategic Directions by promoting a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and excellence. The successful incumbent will lead the departments of Quality and Patient Safety, Patient Relations, Professional Practice and Interdisciplinary Education, Pharmacy, Infection Prevention and Control, and Clinical Informatics. Reporting to the VP of Clinical Services, the Director is accountable for the corporate quality, safety, and risk management systems, professional practice and workforce competency strategy, engagement and patient and family experience.
To excel in this role, the Director will establish interdisciplinary networks and relationships with regional partners, Ontario Health tables, academic institutions, and community agencies that support RMH’s mission of providing exceptional care. Operationally, the Director is accountable for achieving the service and financial priorities set by the organization, budgetary management and capital planning, effective and ethical leadership, and promoting RMH’s corporate values.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role, you will be a strategically focused change leader with advanced planning and organizational skills. You will also possess a collaborative leadership style with exceptional communication skills that will enable you to promote and maintain an interdisciplinary network and relationships with community groups, and external agencies as they relate to the portfolio.
You will lead and engage an interdisciplinary team to achieve patient-focused quality care, service excellence and build leadership capacity at all levels. You will have strong understanding of the impact and health care challenges related to the program areas. You will have experience in at least one of the focused areas of Quality and Patient Safety, Patient Relations, Professional Practice, Interdisciplinary Education, Pharmacy, IPAC or Clinical Informatics.
In addition, you will have at least 5 years’ of recent hospital leadership experience and possess a Master’s degree in health, business or epidemiology.
