At NorthBay Health, the Director of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) IT Applications is responsible for the strategic oversight, operational leadership, and performance of Epic applications and other revenue cycle systems used across the NorthBay Health enterprise. This includes overseeing the planning, implementation, optimization, and support of Epic modules (e.g., Resolute Hospital Billing, Professional Billing, Registration, Scheduling, HIM, Coding, Claims and Remittance, MyChart, and others) and other centrally supported revenue cycle systems to optimize revenue performance, improve patient financial experiences, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Leading a team of system analysts and managing vendor relationships, this individual is responsible for the day-to-day operations and oversight of a portfolio of applications used 24x7, 365 days.
The Director collaborates with clinical, financial, and IT teams to align business operations with system capabilities and drive performance excellence. He/She will collaborate with RCM and other service line leaders to drive improvements in front-end, mid-cycle, and back-end revenue cycle functions to enhance revenue integrity, maximize reimbursement and reduce denials and A/R days. This leader will model the TrueNorth values and establish and maintain strong relationships with operational leaders, physicians, payers, and external partners.
The Director of RCM IT Applications is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects related to the implementation, upgrade, and optimization of electronic health record (EHR) and other systems in support of end-to-end revenue cycle processes. This includes coordinating internal resources and third-party vendors, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, and effectively managing stakeholders and communications.
The Director of RCM IT Applications will work with IT leadership in the development of standards, annual budgets, strategic goals, resource plans, and operational performance reporting. This position hires staff, monitors staff performance, promotes professional development, and conducts the employees’ annual performance appraisals.

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration or a related field or equivalent eight years combination of education and experience .
  • Licensure/Certification : Epic Project Certification required within 6 months. Other current Epic certifications for relevant revenue cycle modules (e.g., Resolute, HIM) and PMP certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in an I.T. or Revenue Cycle Management and ten years of experience in an I. T. applications or systems administration role.
  • Skills: Project management skills related to implementing hospital systems applications. In depth knowledge of healthcare reimbursement, coding, billing regulations, and payer relations required.

Compensation : $190K to $230K based on years of experience doing the specific duties of the role. Eligible for annual VCP Bonus
